    • This family seemed to suffer terribly - a sad example of the quality of life that some were destined to lead. None of the 4 children survived longer than about 6 mo. Louise died a few years after last child, perhaps in a last attempt to give birth yet again; she must have been in early 30's at the time. Augustin did not live much longer - not quite 40 when he succumbed just three years after his wife. Unfortunately, (or perhaps, fortunately), the truth of it all is buried somewhere beyond our reach.
