  • Notes
    • Record of first marriage names his father as Pasteur Giroux, no mother mentioned. Second marriage clearly notes he is the widower of Ida McIntyre. Death record, filed by son Léandre, clearly states father's name is Joseph Giroux and mother Gillet Thibodeau. Joseph Giroux was the brother of Pasteur; the priest who prepared the first marriage record may have mixed up the families. [3]
