I have shown your message to my wife (Michelle Allard) who has recognized the names of Luciano and your aunt Germaine. Her father Jos-Yves was raised in Sudbury with her grand father Moyse, who first married Olive Caron (widow Fontaine) in North Dakota. Jos-Yves was born out of his second mariage to Corinne Clairoux (widow Vaillant). You are most likeky related to their male children:Irenée,Louis or Edmond.Moyse's father Edouard was married to Julie Poitevin or Potvin. She is presumed to be Julie Obomsawin (an Abenaki) but I have yet to see the true records since her parents are listed as Louis Potvin & Marie Bonenfant. Moyse was born in St.David de Yamaska,a small locality near the indian reserve at Odanak (near Sorel). One thing is sure is that my father-in-law and one of his sisters do have prominent indian traits. We are trying to contact the indian reserve and there is a possibility there is a link to another abenaki reserve in New Brunswick. My wife will attempt to trace the birth certificate when we visit the national archives in Montreal and it should show if the child was adopted or not. So much for an up-date. Normand Larose
